În ultima vreme, pe lume vin tot mai mulţi copii foarte diferiţi de cei cu care obişnuiserám. El sunt copiii stelari.

Educatoarele şi pedagogii se plâng se aceşti copii dificili, dar şi foarte dotaţi. Ei aduc cu sine o mai mare maturitate şi se arată nemulţumiţi de lumea adulţilor.

În faţa acestei provocări cartea lui G. Kühlewind ne arată cum pot adulţii faţă problemelor ridicate de noua generaţie.

Between Subconsciousness and Supraconsciousness

In this study, Georg Kühlewind establishes a truly spiritual psychology. This psychology distinguishes between the sub-conscious regions explored by previous psychological schools and the supra-consciousness, identified as the light-filled, living source of our normal waking awareness and thought. As such, it is radically "present," in contrast to our normal thoughts and emotions, which belong to a "past-consciousness," composed of pre-formed elements.

Zijn kinderen tegenwoordig anders dan twintig jaar geleden? Voor wie nu kinderen opvoedt is dit waarschijnlijk geen vraag die hem of haar erg bezighoudt. Dat vereist dan ook een andere manier van opvoeden, een manier die bij de rijpheid van hun wezen past.

Ordinarily we live under the tyranny of the past. All that we call thinking is the habitual association of finished, dead thoughts. But these thoughts were alive once and every new moment of understanding is a breath from the level of the living present.

En cambio, al hablar, por ejemplo, o al sonreír, al recordar y en las actividades artísticas, así como al meditar, está activa otro tipo de voluntad. En este libro se muestra cómo, mediante la reflexión, la meditación y la ejercitación se puede percibir y aprender a usar esta voluntad "suave".

Dans notre civilisation actuelle, la vie quotidienne est régie par l’utilitarisme et la volonté dure, celle de l’ego. Le monde entier a été manipulé jusqu’aux limites de la catastrophe, quoiqu’en disent ou pensent les technocrates. À mes yeux, le seul espoir d’éviter le naufrage réside dans un changement des mentalités : il s’agit de métamorphoser la volonté dure en une volonté douce, c’est-à-dire une volonté réceptive, ouverte à ce qui vient vers elle.
